I got some great feedback and decided to do my I-Search on healthcare. Healthcare is so important to the country. I believe that we should have universal healthcare, so that people don't have to worry about getting sick. I think that I will focus on socialized medicince and what the US would have to do to reach a universal healthcare system. Many other country's have a system where you don't have to pay, in France, I think, they actually pay for your transportation home. Finland, Sweden, England and Germany are other countries with an universal healthcare system. I would like to do my research on other countries system and compare it to the US's and what the US needs to do to reach that system. I will also branch out to what the Presidential Candidates are doing to improve the system and what the winner does.
I have a very strong personal interesting the this topic. In America, if you get sick, you can lose your job, your house and be put in debt for the rest of your life. This happens to people all of the time is totally not fair. People are afraid to get sick or hurt. In a country that has universal healthcare, if you get sick and miss work, you are paid and you do not have to worry. What I described in the latter is the kind of place that I want to live in. I don't want to live where I can't to get sick. My parents lived in Australia, which has an universal healthcare system and they said it was great.
Healthcare is either 2nd or 3rd in polls of what is important to voters this election. Both candidates have ideas to fix the healthcare system. There is no guarantee that either candidate will address the issue while in office. When researching the topics before hand, I was getting 3 or 4 articles written the day before, so this topic is very suitable to ongoing research.
The availability this topic has is also very good. It is a very important topic and people write about it a lot. There are many articles about the failing healthcare system, but not a lot on socialized medicine. There are Opposing Viewpoints on healthcare, which is always good because I love Opposing Viewpoints.
This topic degree of challenge isn't the highest in the world but it will still have an edge to it. The availability of information will make it easy to find articles of information. Sifting through all of it will probably the hardest, and finding what I need and not just fluff.
I am very excited to write about healthcare and I am sure I will have lots of fun with it.

Health care is a topic that is relevant to most everyone, if you chose that you'd have no problem finding information. I'd be curious to find out more about other countries health care and how it compares to ours. You made some good points, I agree that health care should be free for every one. If you did your isearch on the banks, your information would be really current because the country is so focused on that right now. As for the Yankees, I think you'd be more successful with health care.

I think that healthcare topic is a really good idea. I understand that you wanted to just look up the insurance and how it should be free, but I was just a little confused on exactly what you'd like to follow. I agree with you that healthcare should be free and it would be cool to see how other people feel about it. You could talk to someone who works at the hospital, the insurance company, and just really anyone else as well. If you get a lot of articles about it then it probably is a good topic to search.

You are obviously interested in health care, and I think you care about that the most. I think you should cover health care, but I worry that the information you get will be the same thing over, and over again. but you can look at the lack of health insurance in lowere income families, and how they are paying for health car. As for the nationalization of banks that will probably be the most dynamic, especially if you look at how the banks that have been nationalized are working AND if you look at the other banks and how thy're faring. You probably won't find any information on the Yankees because right now national intrest is on other things. (maybe you can look at how proffesional sports are being affected by the economy.)

I-Search 3 Topics
For my 3 topics, I decided on 3 topics that I thought were interesting and important to the country. Those three were nationalizing the banks, what the presidential candidates plans are for the failing healthcare system and how the New York Yankees will rebuild their team during the off-season, the latter's importance being a matter of opinion.
The healthcare system has been a concern to me since I broke my arm twice. I asked my mom how much it cost and she said a lot but we have health insurance, so it’s okay. I really began to think about it after I saw “Sicko” by Michael Moore. The movie was about how the health insurance in the US was more about profit and less about giving proper healthcare. That made me really think about health insurance is an important necessity to life. I am a big fan of universal healthcare or socialized medicine, whatever you want to call it. I believe that healthcare should be free and I don’t understand why someone would say, no, free health insurance would be bad. Originally I thought about that I might do my I-Search on what the Presidential Candidates will do with the healthcare system we have now and what they would do with it once they gained the Oval Office. I have been thinking about changing it around, so I haven’t came up with a final topic. I was thinking trying to incorporate universal healthcare.
The nationalizing of the banks is what I refer to when I talk about when the government bought bank shares in order to help the banks that are not doing so well right now. This created a bit of turmoil, saying that it is total communism, it is destroying the capitalist freedom of America, and that the free-market would fix itself. I was interested in this too.
When thinking about a third topic, I decided it would be fun to follow what the Yankees would do to rebuild their team during the off-season.
Doing my research I discovered that healthcare had, by far, the most articles and news around it, in second came the banks and last but not least, the Yanks came in third. I am leaning towards doing my I-Search on some branch of healthcare but it is always changing.
